She was only second up on that occasion and she will have scope to improve when she presents within the same distance range today. It has been a while between wins, but that is the case with a few other key runners too. Custo (5)$3.40 is always super consistent but finds it hard to win. This is a great race to get back into said winners circle. Mongolian Spring drops in grade and just needs some luck from a wide draw to figure. Tryanza (10) can be in this for a long way so looks over the odds.

He can be expected to appreciate the significant distance rise which now awaits, when he will be competing in winkers for the first time, MAHUIKA MAROI (5)$5.50 did all but win with Violet Soulsby aboard within this distance range here last start and maintaining her form is now likely with Violet retaining the ride. LORD PROTECTOR (9)$2.80 finished unplaced at the Eagle Farm meeting held two days ago. He did however achieve his most recent win after a four day back-up and he should be treated with respect when he now makes a Grafton debut. PURPLE KITTY (7)$7.00 kept trying in defeat at Tuncurry when he was tackling a step up from 1600m to 2100m on the day. He has been in work for some time but he shouldn't be underestimated in this field. FRENCH RIVIERA (14) First up and showed a good turn of foot when 3rd beaten by 1L first up last preparation at Ipswich. First appearance for a new trainer but dropping in distance. Don't dismiss.

PROPER TWELVE (13)$3.10 found the front at Dubbo a fortnight ago and kept running to score. This race doesn't look overly strong, there's no reason why he can't win again. Halemo (3)$7.00 did look to return better at this track last time out when placed after not setting the world on fire in five starts previously. Massalia (8) has been safely handled of late but is beating a few more home than others and looks a good chance for your multiples.

He has the pole position and appeals as a leading winning chance. SECRET CROSSING(10)$8.00 was fair as the favourite first-up at Bendigo when finishing third in a 4-horse field and should take good improvement from that run. The step up in distance looks ideal, and on her home track, she can set the record straight, so follow your money. PRIME PATTERN(8)$2.10 resumes with 3 good jump-outs under his belt and looks forward enough to make an immediate impact. He was a talented juvenile and can progress this season as a 3YO. ENDLESS FURY(9)$31.00 returns from a break on her home track and will be ready to show something after a sound recent jump-out 4 days ago. Keep her safe. Has jumped-out nicely between runs and draws to settle a pair further forward today. <br><br>Interesting that (1) Bow And Ammo (1) debuts at 1400m off just one 750m jump-out two weeks ago. The Maher stable has apparently been jumping horses out up the hill at Ballarat so suspect he will have done his share of work, but hard to gauge from a punting perspective. Wasn't knocked about in the jump-out we did see.

They cleared out on third and second-up from the good draw, he just needs to hold form back to firmer ground and should be hard to beat. Grifter (7)$2.25 was a big forgive last start and the debut puts him in a race of this quality if he can bounce back. Blue Catchu (8)$5.50 and Flaws And Sins (3) both had debuts they’d rather forget but you can make a case they are better than those efforts.

It's A Yes (2)$1.90 was excellent winning last start in better grade than this and third-up shouldn't be giving anything less with that fitness. Firm tracks really look his go as well. Thaimor (6)$6.50 was a good winner at Hamilton from a lovely run in transit. This is harder but he's unbeaten third-up previously and can handle the rise. Chantra (5)$7.00 is another who won well last time out in easier company and is lightly enough raced to suggest there's still upside to come from her.

She is on a 7-day backup so must have done well in the interim, and another good run can be expected. BUZITUP (3) resumes from a spell without a public trial, but does come to hand quickly, so he is worth keeping safe. Check his condition pre-race first.

Getaway (7)$2.70 was good on debut chasing the winner without threatening, and that winner went up in grade and didn't disgrace in Adelaide. Looking at horses that really need to improve beyond those.

Magnetic Chess (2)$2.30 gets the blinkers replacing winkers after following a good one at Geelong. At this level, from a good map, he looks well-placed. Heed The Omens (3) has had no luck at the latest and now third-up onto good ground, looks a great each-way price. Captain Redbeard (4)$3.10 needs to handle the step from maiden to BM62 but the recent win was good and the form is looking solid already. Imminent Storm (7)$10.00 did enough first-up to suggest he's back and in for another good prep.

MAGNETIC CHESS (2)$2.30 chased home well enough when placed at Bendigo two starts back then was good at Geelong. Drawn nicely and would not leave out of winning chances. CAPTAIN REDBEARD (4)$3.10 sat in behind the speed before pouncing at right time for soft maiden win last start. He can measure up to this class. IMMINENT STORM (7)$10.00 was doing his best work late when placed here first-up. Fitter and the extra distance will suit while BREAK THE TABOO (9)$9.00 was disappointing here last start but she had been racing well prior and may sneak a minor spot.

MAGNETIC CHESS(2)$2.30 battled away fairly well when fourth at Geelong over 1347m last time out, and he will don the blinkers for the first time, which should allow him to settle much closer from the outset. John Allen is a positive jockey change, and the pair merit healthy respect. On top. IMMINENT STORM(7)$10.00 returned with a strong third over 1200m here, beaten only by 2 lengths, and he should take plenty of improvement from that run. He usually improves with racing, and another good effort can be expected, especially with the aid of the pole position. BREAK THE TABOO(9)$9.00 was never a factor over 1400m here last time out on a track that was too heavy for her, but her better form is good enough for this. Stick with her on a slightly firmer surface. CAPTAIN REDBEARD(4)$3.10 was impressive breaking his maiden easily over 1400m here nearly 3 weeks ago, and he is good enough to take the next step immediately. PRINCE MAGNETITE(6)$9.50 has been freshened up, and should be kept safe in all top 4 combos.

Great race. Sephia (8)$3.40 and Limosa (9)$5.00 belted a few of these when running the quinella in the key form race last start. They were the two horses in that race who cut the corner when everyone else fanned wide, so you have to take that with some level of form query. That said, they were very dominant. A few that could be the ones to upset them. Calypso King (1) may fire across from a wide gate with the claim and best is good enough. Kingsford (3)$15.00 through the Sephia (8)$3.40 and Limosa (9)$5.00 race was beaten but pulled up with an excuse and his form prior was solid. Both Sides Now (4) is up in trip third-up and down in class, and Johnny Be Good (5)$8.00 flew late on Heavy here and steps up now third-up looking ready.

SEPHIA (8)$3.40 started favourite here last start and got the job done. Now she has her maiden out of the way she can go on and make it two in a row. JOHNNY BE GOOD (5)$8.00 made some good late ground when ran into a placing here last start. Only needs to hold that form to be right in the mix. LIMOSA (9)$5.00 won on the heavy two starts back then made good late ground here last start. She will be in the finish while BRUTALRULE (13)$11.00 won maiden with something in hand at Casterton first-up. He cannot be left out of chances.

JOHNNY BE GOOD(5)$8.00 produced a powerful finish from well back to grab second over 1400m here last time. He looks suited by the step up in trip and should be charging home late. He can have the last say again. SEPHIA(8)$3.40 had the run to suit when scoring a big win over 1700m here last time out as the favourite on a heavy track. She stays in the same class, and an extra 2kg should not stop her from going close to repeating the dose. LIMOSA(9)$5.00 followed up her gritty win in a modest field at Mt Gambier with another bold effort to finish runner-up behind the second pick in the same race here 18 days ago. Stick with her. KINGSFORD(3)$15.00 has been well below his best in two runs since a spell, including his last start when suffering a cardiac arrhythmia. He is worth another chance.

(1) Calypso King (1) maps to get the softest lead you've ever seen and that will see him hard to catching. He didn't get the 2000m last start and is suited back to 1700m here on a track he likes. He's at his best when he can gain total control, which he should here. Just needs a good ride from Sarah Field with the 3kg claim and should  be hard to catch. His best wins this, but he's a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde horse. <br><br>(3) Kingsford (3)$15.00 had Cardiac Arrythmia last start so can be forgiven. Think he's suited back onto dry ground. <br><br>Amazingly this is (8) Sephia (8)$3.40 's first go on dry ground after twelve starts, which is some concern - why have they been avoiding firmer tracks? Both she and (9) Limosa (9)$5.00 come through the same race where they ran the quinella last start, don't think there will be much between them today.

KINGSFORD(3)$15.00 Didn't threaten when 10th last run at the track on a heavy surface. May see an upturn in form. Will be there at the finish. CALYPSO KING (1) Weakened to finish 9th last start at Seymour. Has the potential to improve sharply. Has the necessary speed to overcome the wide draw. Sarah Field takes a large claim. Can take this out. SEPHIA(8)$3.40 Reeled them in when winning last time at this track on a heavy rated track and getting better in recent performances. Can go through the gears. Ticks plenty of boxes and looks like value . LIMOSA(9)$5.00 Good effort to place 2nd last run around here on a heavy surface. Respect against this field.
